Cold rolled sheet metal is manufactured by subsequent rolling of hot rolled sheet metal with cold rollers under the emollient temperature of steel. Cold rolling thins the metal and makes it stronger. The characteristics of cold rolled sheet metal include smoothness of surface and improved thickness tolerance. Cold rolled sheet metal is cut from coils into plates or strips of various lengths and widths.
